Feature Tip - Getting Close-Up to Nature

When I walk in nature I always use a soft focus and kind of let the flowers, birds and other opportunities present themselves to me. When a splash of color catches my eye, I stop to capture the moment.

Sometimes when I get home and load those pictures onto my computer I am amazed at what I have captured. It took a little practice but I finally made friends with the "Macro" setting on the camera.

As you can see in each one of these pictures, the background becomes blurred and the focus is on the flower you want to see. But what you may not realize is the magnificent beauty that is easily passed by.

Look at the picture called Night Shade. Would you believe those flowers are almost invisible on the plant? They are very tiny flowers that hide under leaves of green.

Taking close-up pictures of nature and flowers makes it possible to really enjoy the beauty they have to offer. You can see a larger version of these flower pictures by visiting Free Flower Pictures.

Using the "Macro" setting on your digital camera takes a little practice. But the close-up results are worth it, don't you think?
