Photo Tip - Creating Thumbnails The Easy Way

Do you get frustrated when it is time to create a thumbnail of your photos? Sometimes when you share photos online or in email, its nice to have a smaller image to show.

Using your photo editing software can bring out the devil in all of us. But there is an easier way. What if I told you that you can right click on your image and choose the option, "Thumbnail". Instantly you will see a smaller version of your image appear in your files.

The secret to doing this is by installing a program called EZThumbs. Try it, you'll be glad you did.

Introducing Dodie McCandless July Featured Artist!

I am proud to introduce to you this month's featured artist.

featured artist Dodie McCandless

Dodie is a regular contributor to Nature and Flower Pictures. She takes photos of her flower garden often to share with us.

This month I am showcasing her gallery and the Still Life she created. She also added a couple of pictures she created from photos I took.

See Still Life by Dodie and let her know what you think.

I give Dodie Five Stars, how about you?

Photo Gallery Updates

There is a lot of back end work going on with the gallery. I'm re-organizing to make sure pictures are easy to find when they get published. You may have seen some of the changes already.

Be sure and check out these two. The Pictures of Lilies Album is actually a gateway to a variety of lilies pictures. The Roses Album is an addition to the Flower Pictures section. Enjoy!

New Section - Camera Reviews

I don't know about you, but when it comes to purchasing a camera the choices can be overwhelming. For this reason I decided to add a new section to Nature And Flower Pictures.

Camera Reviews will be articles written by me and hopefully readers who have had good or bad experiences. I hope they lean toward the good. But sharing our bad experiences with a camera can help in the buying process.

So if you have a camera story, I invite you to share your Camera Reviews here...

Special thanks to my friend Don, for his excellent article on The Canon Rebel XTi a Camera to Consider

Here's hoping you have great success in your adventures in nature photography,

Sally
