Hosta lilies pictures album page is like a walk in the shade. These shade loving plants sometimes called plantain lilies.  Although I recently read that the term Plantain is obsolete.

The flowers are dainty and bell shaped.  The broad leaves are a deep green with grooves from end to end.  Some versions of this plant are green and white.  The official term is variegated leaves.

These lilies are very popular as decorations in front of homes.  I wonder if this is because they are so easy to care for.

Your Journey Through Hosta Lilies Album Pictures Starts Here...

The edges of these dark green leaves are the palest of greens for sure.

And the flowers are pale pink as well.

This version of hosta lily looks very much like the Hosta Frances Williams.

Even the white flowers are bell shaped just as in the previous picture.

I could fill pages with the number of varieties listed under the Hosta or Plaintain lilies.

These were taken at the Morton Arboretum before they were blooming.

Deep green leaves with no signs of white save for the bell flowers pushing up through.

These lovelies were growing at the base of a tree in the park.

Here we have an early spring plant that was just planted fresh this year.

I love the way the evening sun showers it with light.

Pale lilac colored bells peep up through an abundance of variegated leaves.

They really do make awesome shade gardens.

Notice the deep veins in each leaf.  They are an artwork of mother nature herself.

The buds will soon be dangling bells to add a purple color to the show

All along the river you'll find these lovely shade loving plants keep cool on hot summer days.

Their blooms are inviting for any garden.

Here we have a full blooming plantain lily plant with those pale and deep green leaves.

The beautiful white blooms seem to love here beneath those pines.
