Mama Gaurding Her Nest

Mama Gaurding Her Nest

These Robins decided to create a nest in my front yard. The tree was low so I was able to reach my camera in and capture the growth of the baby birds from the first days of the nest up to the baby birds ready to fly. Such a fun way to spend the summer.

When we returned from our vaction the baby birds had flown the nest. And we were left with fond memories and an empty nest.

That tree had to be removed so now these pictures have become really special to me. Thank you for letting me share.

That is so cool! I had no idea that robins lay blue eggs. This is crazy! I have never seen something like this before.

Great Pictures
by: Laynie

We have a nest with 4 or 5 new babies birds now. Hard to tell since they are all over each other. It has been so fun watching and waiting for the eggs to hatch. So far, Mama Bird has been tolerant of us watching.
